Elliot Spitzer was once criticized for a controversial plan to allow illegal immigrants to obtain the same type of state license as regular legal residents. Now after all of the recent scandal involving Spitzer’s alleged prostitution ring, it suddenly dawned on me. The women that Spitzer was seeking were often from European countries. Some possibly having difficulty leaving there country and, also having the same difficulty staying legally in the US. However if he were successful in altering the law he would have a much easier time bringing immigrants to this country. When he became governor of New York he now has the power needed to enact such a policy. Could he have been manipulating legislation for his own personal satisfaction. The man who has been taking on all of the “evil” corporate conglomerates has now become the villain himself. I’m sure AOL is having a big ol laugh right about now. Of course this is all speculation but doesn’t it make you wonder just a little.
