If you have had problems after changing your monitor resolution this little thread from the apple discussion board might come in handy link. I have a GeForce 8400GS and after playing around with higher resolutions I was no longer able to see what was on my monitor. That is until I followed these “Blind” instructions on how to get to the dialog box to change the resolution to something more suitable. Scroll over to the last post by BSteely and follow everything to the letter. Trust me it works if you can see whats on your screen.
Update:
Actually when using dvi and not VGA this blue monitor thing does not happen and it changes smoothly.
Update 2:
Using NVDarwin seems to work better than NVInject for some reason. But only when there is absolutely no other injects. That means on a fresh install.
